Creating Your Telegram Bot

Set up an AI-powered Telegram bot for customer support.

Step 1: Create Bot with BotFather

• Open Telegram and search for @BotFather
• Send /newbot command
• Choose a name for your bot (e.g., "YourCompany Support")
• Choose a username ending in "bot" (e.g., "yourcompany_support_bot")
• Copy the API token provided

Step 2: Connect to Wallu

• Log in to your Wallu dashboard
• Go to Integrations → Telegram
• Paste your bot API token
• Click "Connect"

Step 3: Configure Settings

Bot Profile

• Set profile picture
• Write description
• Add about text

Commands Menu

/start - Start conversation
/help - Get help
/contact - Contact human

Step 4: Train Your AI

Upload your knowledge:

• Documents (PDF, DOCX, TXT)
• Website URLs
• FAQ entries
• Previous conversations

Testing

Send a message to your bot and verify it responds correctly.

Group Chat Setup

To use in groups:

• Add bot to group as admin
• Disable privacy mode in BotFather (/setprivacy)
• Configure trigger settings in Wallu
