AI Chat Widget For Your Website.
A chat widget that answers your visitors from your own knowledge base, day and night, and hands the conversation to a person when it should. One snippet to install, a flat monthly price, no per-seat fees.
What it does
- One-Snippet Install — Paste one snippet before </body>. It works on any site that lets you add a script: WordPress, Shopify themes, Wix, Webflow, Squarespace or plain HTML.
- Styled From the Dashboard — Colors, launcher icon, position and typography are set in your dashboard and load live, so you restyle it without touching your site.
- Ticket Form — When nobody is available, the widget asks for an email and opens a support ticket you can answer later by email.
- Help Center — Turn on an in-widget help centre built from your knowledge base articles and FAQs.
- Proactive Triggers — Open the chat or send a message by page URL, time on page or an exit-intent nudge, or from your own button with an in-page trigger.
- Any Language, Any Screen — Replies follow the visitor's language, the panel is responsive on phones, and it flips to right-to-left for Arabic.
What you get
- Answers from your own knowledge base, around the clock
- One snippet, restyled any time without touching your site
- A flat monthly price: no per-seat or per-conversation fees
- Every chat lands in one inbox with your other channels
- Visitors can leave an email for a ticket when no one is free
Who uses it
- Online Stores — Answer product, shipping and returns questions. On Pro with WooCommerce connected, the assistant can also look up orders and build checkout links and carts in the chat.
- SaaS Websites — Answer pricing and how-to questions from your docs, and open the chat from your own button at the moment a visitor gets stuck.
- Service Businesses — Answer the questions you get every day, and collect an email for a ticket when someone needs a quote or a person.
- Communities and Creators — Run the same assistant on your site, Discord and Telegram, all answering from one knowledge base.
What the Wallu chat widget does
It is a chat bubble on your website, answered by AI. The AI replies from your own knowledge base, so it says what your business says rather than what a general model guesses, and it keeps answering outside your working hours.
When a visitor needs a person, the widget follows your escalation setting: it can open a support ticket by asking for the visitor's email, or connect them to a live agent. Every conversation lands in your unified inbox next to your other channels, where anyone on your team can take it over.
How to add it to your website
Because the design loads from your dashboard, you can change it later without editing your site again. The script loads with defer, so it does not hold up the rest of your page while it downloads.
- Style it in the Web Widget tab of your dashboard: colors, launcher icon, position and typography.
- Open the Install section and copy the snippet with Copy Code. It already contains your widget token.
- Paste it before the closing </body> tag on every page. That is the whole install.
What it answers from
You fill the knowledge base three ways: paste question-and-answer pairs, upload files (.txt, .md, .json, .csv or .docx), or add pages by URL. For each reply the AI pulls the few items that best match the question, up to five, rather than everything at once.
Visitors can rate an answer with a thumbs up or down, and that rating is tied back to the knowledge base item that produced it, so you can see which articles need work.
Opening the chat at the right moment
- Smart triggers send a message or open the chat by page URL or time on page. An exit-intent nudge after 30 seconds is included as a preset.
- In-page triggers open a specific playbook from your own code: add data-wallu-trigger to a button, or call window.Wallu.trigger from JavaScript. Useful for cancel flows and add-to-cart moments.
- Quick replies give your agents canned answers to drop into a conversation.
When a visitor needs a person
Escalation has three modes. Always create ticket asks for an email and opens a ticket. Always connect to agent tries to reach a live agent at any hour. Follow business hours, the default, shows the ticket form on the widget.
Business hours never switch the AI off. They set the out-of-office message and decide what happens when someone asks for a human. With a team, conversations can be assigned manually, round robin, or to whoever is least busy.
Languages and voice
The assistant answers in the visitor's language, and auto-translate can follow the visitor's browser language. The widget's own buttons and labels can follow the browser or be pinned to one language, and the whole panel flips to right-to-left for Arabic.
Visitors can also talk to the assistant out loud. Voice minutes are included from the Starter plan up.
What it costs
One price per account. The widget, every other channel and your whole team are included on every plan; what changes between plans is how many AI replies you get. A typical conversation uses about three replies.
| Plan | Price | AI replies a month | About | Voice minutes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mini | $4.99/mo | 350 | 110 conversations | None |
| Lite | $9.99/mo | 1,000 | 310 conversations | None |
| Starter | $19/mo | 2,500 | 780 conversations | 45 |
| Pro | $49/mo | 7,000 | 2,180 conversations | 180 |
| Enterprise | $149/mo | 25,000 | 7,800 conversations | 600 |
WooCommerce order lookup and Sales Agent mode are on Pro and above.
How it compares with other chat widgets
Most chat widgets bill per agent seat, per conversation or per AI resolution, and many pricing pages open on the annual toggle. These are month-to-month list prices for the entry plan, read from each vendor's own pricing page on 3 September 2026.
| Widget | Entry price, month to month | What you are billed for |
|---|---|---|
| Wallu | $4.99/mo | Flat per account; 350 AI replies included |
| Tawk.to | $0 | Free; AI Assist is an add-on from $29/mo |
| Freshchat | $23 per agent/mo | Per agent; free plan up to 10 agents |
| Tidio | $29/mo | Per conversation; Lyro AI is a separate add-on from $39/mo |
| Intercom | $39 per seat/mo | Per seat, plus $0.99 per Fin AI outcome |
| Crisp | $45/mo | Flat per workspace; conversations not metered |
Where Wallu is the wrong choice: if your budget is zero and you do not need AI, Tawk.to is free. If you run structured ticket work at large scale, Zendesk and Intercom have deeper helpdesk tooling and far bigger integration marketplaces.
